The Maxwell Community Growing Library - tools, books and seeds

 By signing this agreement

I agree to become a member of the MAXwell Information Centre and Tool and Seed Library and

1. I guarantee that I know how to use and I am capable of using the tool(s) I am borrowing.  

1. I confirm I will use the borrowed tool(s) as intended and safely. 

1. I understand the Tool Library is lending second hand tools and that the quality is different from brand new tools. 

1. I understand the seeds have been purchased, saved or donated by different users and therefore quality may vary

1. I understand tools are to be used only by the person borrowing them.  

1. I will return the borrowed tool(s), clean, in the same or better condition and report any damage immediately.  

1. I understand that tools have to be returned on the date and time agreed. Extending the borrowing period can be considered but will have to be approved by a staff member. 

1. I understand that not returning the tools or returning them with important damages may lead to financial compensation and/or a long-term ban from the Tool Library. 

1. The Maxwell Centre reserves the right to refuse to loan tools if the borrower is under 18 years old 

I hereby agree for myself and on behalf of my successors and assigns, waive any and all claims against the Maxwell Information Centre, its director, board members, volunteers, users and employees for any injury or injuries of any nature that I may suffer or incur in the use of any tool that I borrow from the Tool Library. 

In consideration of being permitted to borrow tools, I hereby agree for myself and on behalf of my successors and assigns to release, indemnify, and hold harmless the Maxwell Information Centre, its director, board members, volunteers, users and employees from any and all liability, loss, claims, and demands, actions or causes of action for the death or injury to any person and for any property damage suffered or incurred by any person which arises or may arise or be occasioned in any way from the use of any tool I borrow from the Tool Library. 

I am aware that the Maxwell Information Centre, its partners, director, board members, volunteers, users, and employees claim no expertise and make no representation concerning the fitness of any tool for any particular use. 

I have read and fully understand the rules and regulations of the Maxwell Information Centre Tool Library.  I agree to these rules and sign the Liability Waiver Form to be able to borrow from the Tool Library.
